ART LABOR invites you to the newest showing of art works by avant garde ink painter Ren Zhitian. These forward looking art works on silk are painted with an archival quality ink fashioned from car exhaust, an excellent metaphor for most aspects of china’s new reality. They are works made of repetition and control, much like the lives we live in today, slightly elegant, and perhaps at the same time a bit empty, one wishful foot remaining in a grander age, while one tentatively explores the edge ahead.
