(b.1988, Beijing, China) received his MFA from San Francisco Art institute in 2017. Yin Hang's artistic practice explores the generation of images in different technological contexts, and how the relationship between images in the new material environment becomes a medium to reflect the virtuality of the artificial world. By handcrafting the hollow-structured surface that carries his appropriation, inclusion, and translation of everyday environmental imagery and textures, Yin Hang created a field where sculptural images and photographic planes overlap, to question people's viewing experience and sources of perception. In these layered spaces that confuse reality, the possibilities of pictorial representation and expression extend into a series of landscapes that reconfigure individual perceptions.
