Marc Leuthold

Marc Leuthold is a dual-national United States and Switzerland artist based between Shanghai and New York. Leuthold is a Professor at the State University of New York and an international Professor at the Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts. He had previously taught at Princeton University, Parsons School of Design in New York City, and Tsinghua University in Beijing. Leuthold is a lifetime elected member – one of 700 worldwide, of the International Academy of Ceramics, a UNESCO organization based in Geneva, Switzerland. The artist creates objects, videos, and mixed media installations that create a dialogue between cultures, history, and the human senses. Leuthold has exhibited at PS1-MoMA of New York City and the China Art Museum in Shanghai, among others. The artist has been invited to artist residencies, lectures, and exhibitions worldwide. His artwork is in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, the Smithsonian Museum of Art in Washington, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, the Museum of Art and Design in New York City, and the Brooklyn Museum in New York City.
