Pan grew up in a Chinese traditional art family in Ruian Zhejiang, he practice Chinese calligraphy since he was a child. He graduated with two MA degrees from University of Central England and China Academy of Art.
Pan is a conceptual calligraphic visual artist working predominantly with paper and ink. He has been working as a visual artist for the past 20 years in Shanghai, China. Pan’s work involves the creation of supernormal characters and performative images through mindful graphic writing that aims to challenge contemporary cultural divides. Pan exiled himself to Finland in 2015, where he has expanded his art practice as self-healing and self-cultivation.
